Samsung Galaxy Note8 'final' specs leak in full

Samsung Galaxy Note8 'final' specs leak in full

Samsung is officially unveiling the phablet . That's exactly three weeks from today for what it's worth. And with just three weeks to go until the grand event, today what are purported to be the phone's final specs have been leaked in full by the usually reliable Evan Blass. So here's what you can expect. As evidenced by the leaked press renders below, the Note8's design will be similar to that of the , but not identical. For example, the corners are more squared-off (including those of the screen). And then there's obviously the addition of the S Pen stylus. On the other hand, the Note8 is only marginally bigger with its 6.3-inch display that keeps the 2,960x1,440 resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio of the S8 duo. The Note8's dimensions are 162.5 x 74.6 x 8.5 mm. IP68 certification for water and dust resistance is a go. The smartphone is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging support. A USB Type-C port is in, and the launch colors will be Midnight Black and Maple Gold (pictured above). These will be out in September, followed at some later point by Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue. The handset will be priced at 999 in Europe. At the helm we'll find the same Exynos 8895 SoC that's inside the S8 devices on the global market, and the same Snapdragon 835 for the US. These will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The two rear cameras both feature 12 MP sensors, a wide-angle one with an f/1.7 aperture and dual-pixel autofocus, and an f/2.4 telephoto one which enables 2x fixed zoom. Both lenses come with optical image stabilization. On the front there's an 8 MP camera with f/1.7 aperture. All of the above reportedly comes from a person briefed on the device's final configuration, and this close to the announcement things are unlikely to change.
